Sooo...... I learned that I am going to be teaching a section of basic special education geometry classes today! I have wanted to teach this class since before school started and I am so excited about this new journey in my teaching career!

Any  awesome math special education blogs that I should know about? :)

  1. Hi Katrina! First, I just need to thank you for sharing all of these wonderful resourses with the math education world. I can't tell you how much of a help they have been to the development of my geometry curriculum. I stumbled upon this specific article while trying to do some research for my math department. I teach at a career center that has a specific geometry class for students with IEPs (no inclusion, which is a bummer). Would you mind sharing some insight on how your class is going? Or what sort of curriculum and standards you are following? The students in our basic geometry class are still expected to take the common core aligned end of year state test, so we're a little unsure of what our main areas of focus should be (and what we could possibly gloss over). Thanks so much!
