File for Post: Angle Relationships Flipbook

This post is an idea for an Angle Relationships foldable. I love making flip-books that fit in student's notebook for so many reasons!

I made the flip-book last year and the wheel a couple of weeks ago. For the wheel, you can pick up some brads for less than $2 at Walmart (200 in a pack).

I will probably make copies of the Angle Relationships flip-book on white paper so students can color code their notes and see highlighted key concepts. Last year, I split this lesson up into 2 days and did the odds on the first day and the evens on the second day. I'm not sure yet on what I am going to do this year... I have an awesome cut and paste activity that goes well with this that I really want to use.

If you need help setting up the pages, let me know and I can update this post with how to make the flip-book.

Please leave a comment if you are going to use this and have any feedback to share. Are there any awesome angle relationships discovery activities in the #MTBoS?

  9. Yes, it has to be printed 2 sided. Then put the page with "Linear Pair" down first, then tight on top of it the word "Vertical Angles", then tight on top of that the words "Supplementary Angles". Then carefully hold them so the three pages don't slide or move and Fold the top shortest piece and fold it toward you until complementary is on top of supplementary and fold and staple

  10. You have a typo when solving Example 3 for Supplementary Angles. You substituted 35 in for x, but it should be 37. :)

  12. To put this together, I copied this way!

Page one: Back to back: Angle relationships sheet so that on the other side you have adjacent angles box on the lettering.

Page two; back to back Complemetary angles words and on the other side Supplementary angles box with definition and illustration

Third page: back to back :Adjacent angles words with Complementary angles definition and illustration.

Then look at her pictures and put together.

  15. Your materials have been EXACTLY what I need this year . Do you create your own tests ?

  16. Have you tried to have the students create the flip book then as a class fill in the explanations?
I am going to have my class try with diagrams only then they can assemble, and make all the notes(examples in their own hand.
