I wanted to share a foldable that I made this past week that I am IN LOVE with :). Students will fill out the foldable for their notes and then after wards, they will sort the cards into the pockets. DeleteThis went very well and was so helpful! The only thing I changed the second time around was the "pockets" they weren't quite big enough to fit and the students cut-outs keep falling out. So I went to them creating a table and writing in which examples were each category. Thanks so much for all your shares!
ReplyDeleteI love the pockets! Too cute! I used this last year and will use it again this week. I like things like this because kids can use it at home to quiz themselves after we complete it in class.
ReplyDeleteLove this activity! I converted it to a digital activity for my interactive board and each student had a colorful paper version. Each student chose a digital card to pocket and verbally explain their reasoning to the rest of the class who then agreed or disagreed and explained why. Really stimulated a huge amount of higher order thinking!

ReplyDeleteI have been using your interactive notebook and they are helpful to me and most especially the students that I have this year. I have 3 regular geometry classes and 3 co teach classes. Students enjoy the foldables and keep their notes organized. It's fun and I don't have to take a lot of time creating new one. From the bottom of my heart, appreciate your goodness and creativity. Katie ... I can't tell you how much your activities help in my room. I sort of feel guilty being able to simply download them. Because of your generosity (and your stated love of teaching students with special needs), I have donated to the multiple handicap unit at my school for a party at the end of the year.
